Fundraising at MES
The MES community participates in the many fundraising programs, which allow everyone to pitch in! See the full list below.
Thank you for thinking of MES in so many different ways!
Adventure Fest and Run for the Arts
This year Mandeville Elementary School will hold its annual Adventure Fest and Run for the Arts on Saturday, October 29, 2016. This community event is a one mile fun run followed by wonderful games, entertainment, food, and activities for children and families. The teachers and parents are active in our children’s education and work together to make Mandeville Elementary School the best school possible. Mandeville Elementary School has been awarded the National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the United States Department of Education and recognized as a National PTA School of Excellence. We continue to make improvements in student growth and achievement.
We are requesting your support for Mandeville Elementary by becoming a sponsor for this event. This year the funds raised by our Adventure Fest will be used to fund the Teacher Mini Grant program, sustain a highly successful tutoring program, and obtain new technology for our classrooms. We will continue to support our successful afterschool Kind Kids Club to make it open to all kids in the school who want to join. In addition to the main focus of our fundraising, the PTA funds many other educational programs within the school such as Art in the Classroom, Cultural Arts Day, the Technology Classroom and Professional Development for staff. We also fund 3 software programs, IXL math, Brain Pop and Raz Kids Reading that students are able to use at home and at school to advance math, reading and learning skills.
Mandeville Elementary School is a public school which qualifies as a non-profit organization for donations (under IRS Code Section 501 c.3). Any contribution your organization makes will ultimately improve our community by supporting the education process. Sponsors are recognized on the Fest t-shirt, signage at the Fest, and in the PTA’s newsletter. See attached sheet. Please make checks payable to MES PTA. Donations can be mailed to MES PTA, 519 Massena St., Mandeville, LA 70448.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions. We appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you.

Since 2001, MES has raised over $24,000 just by clipping those little pink Box Tops from the packaging on products we are already using (General Mills, Pillsbury, Betty Crocker and Ziploc, just to name a few)!
Each Box Top earns MES $.10 and that really adds up when you have so many great collectors, like we have at MES!
Please take the time to visit www.boxtops4education.com and register. Once you do, you'll receive emails about box tops sweepstakes, be notified when certain products are offering bonus box tops on their packaging and when area stores will be running bonus box tops offers. Plus, you can track MES's earnings progress versus other schools. This is an easy and free way to earn for MES!
Box tops can be taped to a half sheet of paper, 10 per page, or 50 in a ziploc baggie, labeled with your student's name, grade level and teacher and sent to school in his or her folder.
Watch for special contests and prizes to the students who collect the most!

Community Cash for Schools
Each UPC label from Community Coffee products earns MES a greater share of a generous educational fund set up by Community Coffee.
Don't forget to ask friends or family who have CC's coffee delivered to their businesses to save the UPCs from the commercial packaging as well - those are worth even more!
Labels can be bundled into groups of 10 or 50, placed in a ziploc baggie labeled with your student's name, grade level and teacher and send to school in his or her folder.
