The goal of the MES PTA is to encourage parent and community involvement in the education, health and welfare of our students. We're not just about raising money - we're about parents and caregivers who have a vested interest in the success of our children's educational, emotional and social experience while at Mandeville Elementary School. Your support and involvement is the only way we can accomplish these goals.
Specific Goals for 2009-2010
In addition to our fundamental goals, the MES PTA has also set the following resource and beautification objectives, which we hope to achieve through our various fundraising efforts:
1) Outfit each classroom with Promethean ActivBoards and appropriate interractive accessories, such as ActivWands and ActiVote tools;
2) Upgrade older computers as necessary.

OFFICE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! We could use your help in the front office. Even a few hours a week or month would make a big difference. Please contact Angie Kress (stampinangie@bellsouth.net) if you are interested.
Mandy Magnets are still available! At just $6, they're a great way to show your MES pride! If you'd like one, just send a check in an envelope labeled PTA/Mandy Magnets. We'll send the magnet(s) home in your student's folder.
CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS! The MES PTA has lots of exciting projects and events lined up for the 2009-2010 school year, all of which are only possible with your help and support! Please browse our site, especially the Volunteer Opportunities page, and consider helping out with one or more of our great events!

At the Louisiana PTA State Convention last April, this very website won the Outstanding Website Award given by the Louisiana State PTA. Only 3 such awards are given out for the entire state, so we feel very honored and very proud to have won the Award. Thanks to everyone who contributes their time and resources to making our site great!!
Also, Whale Tales, the MES PTA newsletter, received an Award of Merit from the Louisiana PTA as well.
And that's not all, MES PTA was also recognized for reaching the following membership goals:
